A MODERATED DISCUSSION AND AUDIENCE Q&A with women in various entertainment fields: sharing tools, struggles, best practices, and steps toward equality within the industry.

Followed by a BOOK SIGNING of "The Wrong Kind of Women: Inside Our Revolution to Dismantle the Gods of Hollywood" with author Naomi McDougall Jones.

It is our aim to inspire, motivate, and equip our attendees, as well as foster coalition-building within the artist community.

Early arrival suggested ~ Sign-In starts at 6:30 p.m.



About

Niketa Calame-Harris (Co-Organizer, Moderator) is most noted as the voice of Young Nala in Disney's original animated classic film The Lion King. She is an award-winning actor, acting coach (Founder, In Motion), co-founder of IVIIISTUDIOS, speaker, and project ambassador for The American Diabetes Association. A member of SAG/AFTRA since 1994

Ashley Key (Co-Organizer) is a stage and screen actor best known for her roles in Circle and Dark/Web. She is also an actor in and producer of the multi-award winning web-series The Vault with over 2 million views


Hana Mae Lee (Panelist) is an actor, model, comedian, fashion designer and owner of her own line, Hanamahn. She is best known for playing Lilly Onakuramara in the Pitch Perfect franchise


Naomi McDougall Jones (Panelist) is an award winning writer, actor, producer, and women in film activist, best known for her film Bite Me, her hugely successful TED Talk, and her new book, The Wrong Kind of Women

Kelly Jenrette (Panelist) is an Emmy, Ovation, and NAACP Award nominated actress best known for The Handmaid's Tale, Grandfathered, Limetown, and Frisky Dingo

Alma Martinez (Panelist) is an award winning actor, stage director, and professor of theatre. An original cast member of Louis Valdez's Zoot Suit, she has over 100 Broadway, regional, film, and television credits

Tatiana Suarez-Pico (Panelist) is a playwright (with a history of residencies, fellowships, and awards), actor, and screenwriter best known for her work on Parenthood, Snowfall, The L Word and Iron Fist

Entrance and parking is located at the white gate on the corner of La Brea and De Longpre
